Uploading Transcripts
Import customer calls and interviews. Circuit extracts individual feedback segments and adds them to the same priority pool as other feedback.
Upload Methods
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| Paste text | Click + Add → Import Transcript and paste directly into the text area |
| File upload | Upload a local file. Accepted: .txt, .vtt, .srt, .md. Max 10MB |
| Google Drive | Browse Drive after connecting your Google account. The "Browse Google Drive" button appears once connected |
Transcript Type
Tag each transcript so Circuit can weight and categorise it correctly:
| Type | Use For |
|---|---|
| Interview | Customer discovery or research sessions |
| Sales call | Sales conversations |
| Support | Customer support calls or tickets |
| Other | Anything else |
Customer Metadata
Optionally add customer details at upload time:
- Name — appears in Customer Voice quotes
- Email — enables close-the-loop notifications when you ship
- Revenue band — weights the feedback in revenue impact scoring (Enterprise, Paid, Free)
Supported Formats
Circuit auto-detects the format — no configuration needed.
| Tool | Formats |
|---|---|
| Otter.ai | TXT |
| Fireflies | SRT, VTT |
| Grain | TXT |
| Whisper | TXT, SRT, VTT, TSV, JSON |
| Plain text | TXT |
Limits
- File upload: 10MB max
- Text paste: 50 to 500,000 characters
- Up to 25 feedback segments extracted per transcript
- Minimum segment length: 15 words
Deduplication
Circuit skips duplicate transcripts based on content hash. Uploading the same transcript twice produces no duplicate feedback items.
What Happens After Upload
- Circuit splits the transcript into segments, with speaker attribution where available
- Each segment becomes a feedback item tagged
source: transcript - Items flow through the same classification → grouping → scoring pipeline as all other feedback
- Results appear in Priorities alongside CSV, Slack and Surface feedback
Transcript feedback carries the same weight as any other source. A customer quote from a call counts the same as a Surface submission.
